Lend me a Tenor

On the 27th of November we had the privilege of attending the comedy “Lend me a Tenor”, performed by American actors, at Vienna’s English Theatre.
The actors’ various abilities, especially the singing, paired with an easy and quick plot, funny twists and misunderstandings resulted in a rather fascinating and entertaining show. Although the female actors’ high pitched voices were fairly irritating and at times hard to endure, the male protagonists had an endearing charm which made this excursion a more than pleasant way to spend an afternoon.

The play had a remarkable appeal in multiple matters, such as performance, humour, the plot and the actors were well chosen. They were Americans and they spoke very clearly. Basically, the plot was about a misunderstanding which led to the belief that the famous Italian tenor Tito had died because he had taken too many pills.
All in all there is nothing to complain about, we really enjoyed it. The only thing we didn't like was the voice of the main female role.
